Advancing Mathematics for Young People:
Opportunity for homeschoolers

I'm happy to announce a follow-up series to the arithmetical playground! Beginning in January we will have a natural entry point into the playground series. To keep students engaged our efforts will switch from arithmetic to geometry. The new geometric series will cover:

I am enthusiastic to introduce other enrichment activities. We should have time to learn counting and addition in Chinese. It has been suggested there may be fewer linguistic hurdles to learning mathematics in Chinese. Don't worry though, the whole series is intended for the English speaker.

Other activities will be planned based on student response to the original activities. I encourage creativity! If a student makes a spaceship instead of a dodecahedron, that's OK. I will show and explain the dodecahedron I made.

I have included frequently asked questions below. I am planning a series every other month like this one. For March, I am working on an arithmetical playground focusing on subtraction, division, and fractions.
